It doesn’t seem fair that all those companies pulled out manufacturing from Australia, only to them reduce the availability of the cars for import.

I prefer the Focus ST-Line. 1.0 Ecoboost manual.

Lol. You know as well as I do that you guys would pour scorn on a 1.0 Ecoboost (especially the 85ps/84bhp) or even the 1.5 for that matter.
I mean the most powerful so far is the 182ps/180 bhp 1.5 Ecoboost.

The US Market 1.0 Ecoboost in the Fiesta makes 123ph and more torque.
ALSO THATS A WAGON

While the 1.5 Ecoboost 180bhp may be okay for some in the U.S. , there would be some wanting a 2.2 or 2.5 litre engines with 250-280bhp and RWD which wouldn’t be financially beneficial for the them against how many units they would sell in North America.

The 1.0 Ecoboost is available in 84bhp, 99bhp and 123bhp with the 1.5 in 148bhp and 180bhp.
The estate is available in three face.
Titanium X and lower.
ST-Line
Vignale

Wait. Does that mean the Focus Titanium spec we get in the U.K. would be called a FoTIT or FoTit and the Titanium X would be called the FoTITX or FoTitX !?

The FAct is/will be available as a wagon as well:

Australians are like Americans in their gearbox preferences. The buy-in for manual boxes is typically less than 10% and even less in the medium and large classes. Therefore, they don't bother bringing them in...

I don’t mind that at all. However, I don’t think Ford Oz will take the wagon version unless it is significantly different in pricing from the Escape.

Like, much cheaper? Probably not. The Focus wagon is much more spacious and practical than the Escape though, while weighing significantly less and being much faster and more economical with the same drive train. So, basically, superior in every way other than to those with worn out hip joints .

It is confirmed that Australia is full of people with worn out hip joints. We aren’t getting the Focus Active wagon though we will get the wagon in ST-line trim so that's quite okay https://www.goauto.com.au/news/ford/focus/active-wagon/ford-reveals-europe-only-focus-active-wagon/2018-11-22/76573.html
